LT1071HVCT#PBF

LT1071HVCT#PBF is a monolithic high-power switching regulator capable of operating in all standard switching configurations, including buck, boost, flyback, forward, inverting, and “Cuk”. It features a high-current, high-efficiency switch integrated onto the die, along with all necessary oscillator, control, and protection circuitry. Integration of all functions allows the device to be built in a standard 5-pin T0-220 power package This design makes it extremely easy to use and ensures "bust-proof" operation similar to that obtained with 3-pin linear regulators. The regulator can operate with supply voltages ranging from 3V to 60V and draws only 6mA of quiescent current. It can deliver load power up to 100W without the need for external power devices. It is used in applications such as logic supply 5V at 10A, 5V logic to ±15V opamp supply, off-line converter up to 200W, battery upconverter, power inverter (+ to –) or (– to +), fully floating multiple outputs.

• Switch current limit is 5A maximum at (duty cycle ≤ 50%, TJ ≥ 25°C)
• Switching frequency is 40KHz typical at (TA = 25°C)
• Shutdown mode supply current is 100µA typical at (3V ≤ VIN ≤ VMAX, VC = 0.05V)
• Error amplifier voltage gain is 800V/V typical at (0.9V ≤ VC ≤ 1.4V, TA = 25°C)
• Very few external parts required, operates in nearly all switching topologies
• Output switch “on” resistance is 0.30 ohm typical
• Operating junction industrial temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, 5-lead plastic TO-220 package
