Product Overview
LT1301CN8#PBF is a micropower step-up DC/DC converter that operates using Burst Mode™ operation. This versatile device can deliver either 5V or 12V from a two-cell battery input. It offers programmable 5V or 12V output via a logic-controlled input, with a low no-load quiescent current of 120µA. Its shutdown pin reduces supply current to just 10µA when activated. The on-chip power switch features a low 170mV saturation voltage at a switch current of 1A, representing a four-fold reduction compared to previous designs. The LT1301CN8#PBF operates with a 155KHz internal oscillator, allowing the use of extremely small surface-mount inductors and capacitors. It is guaranteed to operate at 1.8V input, enabling more energy extraction from the battery and increasing operating life. Applications include flash memory VPP generators, palmtop computers, portable instruments, bar-code scanners, personal digital assistants, and PCMCIA cards.
