Product Overview
LTC1458CG#PBF is a complete single supply, quad rail-to-rail voltage output, 12bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). LTC1458 includes an output buffer amplifier with variable gain (×1 or ×2) and an easy-to-use 3-wire cascadable serial interface. The LTC1458 has an onboard reference of 2.048V and a full-scale output of 4.095V in a ×2 gain configuration. It operates from a single 4.5V to 5.5V supply dissipating only 5.5mW (ICC = 1.1mA typ). Excellent DNL, low supply current and a wide range of built-in functions allow these parts to be used in a host of applications when flexibility, power and single supply operation are important. Applications include digital calibration, industrial process control, automatic test equipment, and low-power systems.

- 3-wire cascadable serial interface with 250KHz update rate
- Integral nonlinearity is ±1.75LSB typical at (VCC = 4.5V to 5.5V, TA = 25°C)
- Offset error is ±3.0mV typical at (VCC = 4.5V to 5.5V, TA = 25°C)
- Supply current is 1100µA typical at (4.5V ≤ VCC ≤ 5.5V)
- Signal-to-noise + distortion is 85dB typical at (REFHI = 1KHz, 2VP-P, 4.5V ≤ VCC ≤ 5.5V)
- Short-circuit current is 45mA typical at (4.5V ≤ VCC ≤ 5.5V)
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C, 28-lead plastic SSOP package
