Product Overview
AD5663 is a nanoDAC® family, low power, dual, 16bit buffered voltage-out DAC that operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and is guaranteed monotonic by design. It requires an external reference voltage to set the output range of the DAC. The part contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 480nA at 5V and provides software-selectable output loads while in power down mode. The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable, battery-operated equipment. It uses a versatile, 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 50MHz and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™ and DSP interface standards. Typical applications are process control, data acquisition systems, portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, programmable attenuators.

- Relative accuracy is ±12LSB max (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; RL=2Kohm to GND; CL=200pF to GND, TMIN to TMAX)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±1LSB max (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; RL=2Kohm to GND)
- Offset error is ±10mV max (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; RL=2Kohm to GND; CL=200pF to GND, TMIN to TMAX)
- Gain error is ±1.5% of FSR max (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; RL=2Kohm to GND; CL=200pF to GND, TMIN to TMAX)
- Zero-scale error drift is ±2μV/°C typ (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; CL=200pF to GND, TMIN to TMAX)
- Slew rate is 1.8V/µs typ (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; RL=2Kohm to GND; CL=200pF to GND, TMIN to TMAX)
