Product Overview
AD5721BRUZ-RL7 is a single channel, 12bit serial input, voltage output, digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). The integrated output amplifier and reference buffer provide a very easy-to-use, universal solution. It uses a serial interface that operates at clock rates of upto 50MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller interface standards. Double buffering allows the asynchronous updating of the DAC output. The input coding is user-selectable two complement or straight binary. The asynchronous reset function resets all registers to their default state. The output range is user selectable, via the RA[2:0] bits in the control register. It is used in applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, data acquisition, open-/closed-loop servo control, process control, and programmable logic controllers.

- Output noise spectral density is 80nV/√Hz typical at (±10V range, 2.5V external reference)
- Signal-to-noise ratio is 92dB typ at (ambient, 2.5V external reference, BW = 20KHz, fOUT = 1KHz)
- Total harmonic distortion is -87dB typical at (2.5V external reference, 1KHz tone)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 16-lead TSSOP package
