Product Overview
AD5790 is a single, 20bit, unbuffered voltage output digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that operates from a bipolar supply of up to 33V. The AD5790 accepts a positive reference input in the range of 5V to VDD -2.5V and a negative reference input in the range of VSS + 2.5V to 0V. This offers a relative accuracy specification of ±2LSB maximum range, and operation is guaranteed monotonic with a -1LSB to +3LSB differential nonlinearity (DNL) specification. The part uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates of up to 35MHz and is compatible with standard serial peripheral interface (SPI), QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. Reference buffers are also provided on chip. Application includes medical instrumentation, test and measurement, industrial control, scientific and aerospace instrumentation, data acquisition systems, digital gain and offset adjustment, power supply control.

- Gain error is ±2.3ppm FSR (typ, VREFP = +10V, VREFN = -10V)
- Gain error temperature coefficient is ±0.018ppm/°C (typ, VREFP = +10V, VREFN = -10V)
- Output voltage settling time is 2.5µs (typ, 10 V step to 0.02%)
- Output voltage noise is 1.1µV p-p (typ, DAC code = midscale, 0.1Hz to 10Hz bandwidth)
- 24 lead LFCSP package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
