Product Overview
The MAX535BCUA+ is a low power, 13bit voltage output digital to analogue converter (DAC) with serial interface in 8 pin µMAX package. This device combines voltage output DAC and precision output amplifier. The MAX535B operates from single +5V supply and draws only 280μA of supply current. The inverting input of output amplifier is available to user which allows specific gain configurations, remote sensing and high output current capability. This makes MAX535B ideal for a wide range of applications including automatic test equipments, digital offset and gain adjustment, motion control and microprocessor controlled systems. The MAX535B also includes software shutdown and power-on reset. The serial interface is compatible with either SPI/QSPI or Microwire. The DAC has a double buffered input organized as an input register followed by a DAC register. All logic inputs are TTL/CMOS logic compatible and buffered with schmitt triggers to allow direct interfacing to optocouplers.

- Low supply current of 0.24mA in normal operation and 2μA in shutdown mode
- Power-on reset clears DAC output to 0V
- Schmitt trigger digital inputs for direct optocoupler interface
- Integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±1LSB and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1LSB (monotonic)
- Offset error of ±0.3mV and offset error tempco of 6ppm/°C
- Gain error of -0.5LSB and gain error tempco of 1ppm/°C
- Power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 600μV/V
- Reference -3dB bandwidth of 650KHz and voltage output slew rate of 0.6V/μs
