The HT82K629A-40DIPLF is a Windows 2000 USB+PS/2 keyboard encoder in 40 pin DIP package. It can function both in USB and PS2 interface environment. For PS2 interface, it supports IBM PC/AT, IBM PS/2 and all compatible machines and provides 16 character first in first out buffer in which data is stored. For USB interface, it can support USB standard request as well as HID class request version 1.1.

- Phantom key detection and low voltage reset function
- Auto detect USB or PS2 interface
- HALT function and wake up function for USB mode to reduce power consumption
- USB 1.1 low speed function
- Supports multimedia key, ACPI key and mini keyboard with Fn key
- Built-in watchdog timer
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
