Evaluation board demonstrating a very effective way to design the high voltage DC-DC stage of a server or industrial SMPS, fulfilling the highest standard of efficiency and reliability. The board includes high voltage and low voltage power MOSFETs, controllers and drivers. The overall best-in-class performance is achieved because of a mix of proper control techniques and best-in-class power device selection. Key Infineon products used to achieve this performance level includes 600V CoolMOS™ CFD7 superjunction (SJ) MOSFET (IPA60R280CFD7), advanced EiceDRIVER™ 2EDN dual-channel gate driver (2EDN7524F), OptiMOS™ 5 80V synchronous rectification MOSFET (BSC026N08NS5), XMC™ microcontroller (XMC4200-F64K256 BA) and CoolSET™ bias converter fly back controller with switch (ICE3RBR4765JZ). Target applications are server SMPS, industrial SMPS and industrial battery chargers.
