Product Overview
The 5.0SMDJ12A from Littelfuse is a 5000W, unidirectional, 5.0SMDJ series transient voltage suppression diode. It is constructed with glass passivated chip junction. It features excellent clamping capability, fast response time and low incremental surge resistance. The 5.0SMDJ series is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events.
- Reverse standoff voltage VR is 12V
- Breakdown voltage VBR is 13.3V minimum and 14.7V maximum at 10mA
- Maximum reverse leakage is 800µA
- Maximum clamping voltage VC is 19.9V
- Maximum peak pulse current is 252A
- Steady state power dissipation on infinite heat sink at TL=75°C is 6.5W
- Peak forward surge current IFSM is 300A
- Operating temperature range from -65°C to +150°C, IEC-61000-4-2 ESD 30KV(air), 30KV (contact)
- ESD protection of data lines with IEC 61000-4-2 and EFT protection with IEC 61000-4-4 standard
