The 58 × 58 × 9 mm Cleaning Sponge is a dedicated maintenance accessory designed for use with the MP877D Rework Station. It ensures effective removal of oxidation, excess solder, and flux residues from the soldering iron tip, supporting stable thermal performance and extending tip service life. Optimised for use with the MP877D soldering function (70W), the sponge is suitable for operating temperatures from 150°C to 480°C with ±1°C stability. Regular cleaning of the tip helps maintain precise heat transfer, which is critical when working within the station’s controlled temperature range and during sensitive PCB rework operations.
