OP-8940 is a 32-channel, pass-through fault insertion module. The OP-8940 provides a set of feed-through channels to simulate open or interrupted connections in a switch, load, and signal conditioning (SLSC) module. Additionally, the OP-8940 includes shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. The module features seven individually configurable relays for fault injection for each pair of two signals, for a total of 112 relays. You can connect input signals either to fault buses on the rear transition interface (RTI). You also can use the OP-8940 with PXI or CompactRIO modules using the appropriate cabling, terminal blocks, and RTIs.
