The MPC563CVR40 is a high-speed 32-bit Microcontroller based on PowerPC ISA-compliant single issue RISC processor (RCPU) operates at a maximum frequency of 40MHz. The device combines high-performance data manipulation capabilities with powerful peripheral subsystems and built up from standard modules that interface through a common intermodule bus (IMB). The device incorporates 512kB internal flash, 32kB internal RAM, 32-channel 10-bit A/D converter and 56 general-purpose I/O pins.

- 2 Time processing units (TPU3) with 8-Kbyte dual port TPU RAM (DPTRAM)
- 22 Timer channel modular I/O system (MIOS14)

- Queued serial multi-channel module (QSMCM)
- Queued serial peripheral interface (QSPI)

- Background debug mode (BDM)
