Product Overview
The SMHP series Power Resistor with complete thermal flow designs available for easy application implementation. Screw torque settings for optimum heat transfer, sufficient torque must be applied to the screw to optimise thermal resistance. Using specific constant pressure Belleville spring washers simplifies the assembly procedure. This component dissipates as much as 70% of heat through the PCB. It is efficient, JEDEC standard, high-K PCB implementations using internal ground planes, thermal vias and opposing land areas will greatly increase the thermal capacity of the implementation.

Notes
Care should taken with the construction of the thermal vias (see JEDEC standards) as not to wick away the solder from the component during the reflow solder process.
