Product Description
650V CoolMOS™ C7
Infineon's new 650V CoolMOS™ C7 series brings a new level of performance to hard-switching topologies in power factor correction (PFC) and similar applications. These new devices are the successors to the CP series and increase efficiency across the whole load range by balancing a number of key parameters.
The series’ best-in-class RDS(on) boosts full load efficiency, raising the performance of proven BiC CoolMOS™ P6 devices in TO-220 packages, while establishing clear leadership in TO-247 packages. Reduced EOSS improves efficiency at light load while low Qg increases switching speed and reduces Eon and Eoff, which improves efficiency across the entire load range.
In addition to balancing various parameters to deliver best-in-class performance, the CoolMOS™ C7 series is easier to implement and use than the CoolMOS™ CP series. 650V gives designers an extra safety margin and makes the new series suitable for SMPS and solar inverters. The new CoolMOS™ C7 series benefits from 12 years’ of manufacturing experience and continues to offer Infineon’s outstanding quality.
600V CoolMOS™ P6
The new CoolMOS™ P6 series combines Infineon's expertise as the leading SJ MOSFET supplier with its innovative strengths in energy efficiency. The resulting P6 technology is easy to use while at the same time ensuring outstanding performance levels in hard and soft-switching topologies (for example, PFC, LLC).
P6 achieves extremely low conduction and switching losses, particularly in light load conditions. This enables switching applications to work more efficiently and designers to create more compact, lighter and cooler devices.
Thanks to its granular portfolio, P6 can also address the specific needs of applications such as servers, PC power supplies, telecom rectifiers and consumer applications while offering the best price/performance ratio currently available on the market.
